Polyethylene (PE)

Polyethylene is a semi-crystalline thermoplastic with high toughness and very good chemical resistance, compared to other plastics with low mechanical strength and temperature resistance.

The individual polyethylenes are distinguished by their molar masses (molecular weight), which are decisive for the respective physical properties.

Polyethylenes are mainly divided into high density polyethylene PE 300 (PE-HD), high molecular polyethylene PE 500 (PE-HMW) and ultra high molecular polyethylene PE 1000 (PE-UHMW).

With increasing molecular weight, toughness, abrasion resistance, chemical resistance, machinability and the temperature application range increase.

Available densities:

PE 300 HD:

High density polyethylene with an average molecular weight. It is a material that is easy to process and can be welded very well. It is used for components with low mechanical stress and mainly in chemical apparatus and tank construction.
Colours: natural and black


PE 100

Has the same properties as PE 300 HD. PE 100 is additionally certified by the German Institute for Construction Technology
(DIBt), released for use in tank construction requiring test certificates.
Colours: natural and black


PE EL black

PE-HD with very good electrical conductivity and very good mechanical long-term properties, which is particularly suitable for use in explosion-proof areas.


PE 500 HMW

High-molecular polyethylene, which is mainly used in the food industry and in mechanical engineering. It has a balanced combination of stiffness, toughness and mechanical damping capacity and is slightly superior to PE-HD in these properties.

Different colour designs are possible.


PE 1000 UHMW

Ultra-high molecular polyethylene, which is excellently suited for general mechanical engineering, especially in conveyor and drive technology. It offers high wear and abrasion resistance, a very low coefficient of sliding friction and excellent notched impact strength even at low temperatures.
Colours: natural, black and green


PE 1000 black antistatic

Material with a permanent antistatic effect. The electrostatic charge of the surface is reduced. Dust is not attracted and no electrostatic discharges occur.


PE 1000 black electrically conductive

Material with very good electrical conductivity, which is particularly suitable for use in explosion-proof areas.
