novaMICA® THERMEX
Gasket material made of refined phlogophite mica with an insert of stainless steel expanded metal (material no. 1.4404/AISI 316L).
This material profile results in outstanding material properties:
- Highest temperature stability up to 1000 °C
- Permanently low leakage even under high temperatures due to expanded metal insert
- Reliable handling
- Reliable processability with all common production methods
Areas of application: novaMICA® THERMEX is predestined for use in the exhaust area of all combustion engines and aggregates, as well as turbochargers and compressors.
The gasket material is insensitive to temperature load changes.
Depending on the application requirements, novaMICA® THERMEX can be combined very well with a metallic inner flange.
